Security is a top priority when it comes to managing assets and sensitive information. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) provides an added layer of protection for your itemit account by requiring an extra verification step in addition to your password. Enabling MFA helps safeguard your workspace from unauthorised access, ensuring that only verified users are able to log in.
Additionally, itemit offers the option to enforce MFA across an entire workspace. Please note that this setting is only available to users with the Owner or Admin role, and is not accessible to other user roles.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through the simple steps to activate MFA in itemit, helping you enhance your account security with confidence and ease.
Steps to activate MFA:
Method 1:
Click on your account profile located on the top right
Input your phone number and you will receive a verification code
Input the 6-digit code to proceed
Turn on the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and this pop-up should appear.
5. And, done! Your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is now verified. itemit will update you upon success
Method 2
This method is only available for Owner or Admin.
If you are the Owner or Admin, you can also activate MFA from your Account profile located on the top right by clicking on "Settings"
Next, hover to Security > click on the highlighted red words below
3. Input your phone number and you will receive a SMS verification code
4. Upon success, you should have enabled your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
