1. Download Itemit Installer

  1. Log in to itemit Web and locate to Devices

  2. Click on “Add Reader“

  3. Select “Installer” Option

  4. Download either Windows or macOS based installer.

  5. Lastly, you may generate/regenerate the Installer Key to be used later.

2. Install Itemit Installer (macOS)

  1. Install “itemit-1.0.0.dmg” on your macOS by dragging to Applications folder or Double-click

  2. Success installation will show Itemit Installer in your Applications

3. Using Itemit Installer

  1. Open Itemit Installer

    (Note: Ensure the Zebra Reader is reachable within the network.)

  2. First, we will test if the Zebra Reader’s IP can be reached or otherwise.

  3. On successful attempt to reach the Zebra Reader’s IP, you will be prompt to enter “Installer Token”

  4. “Installer Token” is gotten from Itemit Web on Add Reader by Installer method.

  5. Copy and Paste the “Installer Token” to the input and click on Submit button.

  6. Upon success authenticate and verified, you will be prompted to Login to your Zebra Reader within the installer.

  7. A success and valid login will navigate to the step.

  8. In this step, the installer will automate on Zebra Reader creation on Itemit Web’s Devices so you don’t have to.

  9. Next, we should proceed on “Install Certificate” to allow Zebra Aws IoT Connector. On clicked, the installation will be in progress until completed and show “Certificate Installed”

  10. Next, proceed to click on “Patch” once it is enabled. This action will help override and update your Zebra Reader’s IoT Configuration to support on Itemit Platform.

  11. A success patch shall indicate on “Successfully Patched”

  12. Lastly, to finalized the step, toggle on “IoT Connection” to enable the Zebra IoT Connector to be operational.
