Users are those who have access to itemit with their itemit login.
Contacts, on the other hand, do not have access to itemit and are not associated with a login/email address. A contact could be an employee, a customer, a project, a location.. anything you like! A contact is essentially a fully customisable text box set by you.
You can assign assets to contacts, however they can not access itemit including features which may be useful such as Check In/Out, Bookings, Reminders and Issues.
