Keeping track of asset issues is essential for maintaining smooth operations and ensuring your equipment remains in top condition. With itemit, reporting a problem is quick and hassle-free - whether you're using the web portal or the mobile app.
Steps to report an issue from the itemit web portal
From the Items tab, select the asset you’d like to report an issue for, then click on the "+" button in the 'Issues' section
2. Enter the Description and select a Priority, then click "Save". You can also add attachments here by clicking on the "Upload file" located on the right side.
3. Upon success, a pop-up update will appear and you can view the issues on the item's profile as well as in the Issues tab located at the top of the page.
How to see all issues in the Web portal
1. You can view the issues from the "Issues" tab. You can also use the search bar or navigate through your asset list to find the assets/issues you need.
2. When the issue has been resolved, you can click the item and update it here.
Steps to report an issue from the itemit app
Select your asset - either choose your asset from the item list or click the scan icon to scan the asset's QR tag
2. Click the "+" in the "Issues" section
3. Enter a description of the issue, set a "priority" if needed then click "Save"
4. The issue will now appear on your asset's profile page, giving full transparency to all users
What Are Public Profiles in itemit?
Public Profiles in itemit are designed to allow individuals outside of your organisation to report issues directly to you. This feature enables a streamlined and user-friendly way for external users, such as customers, contractors, or members of the public, to flag problems with specific assets without needing to be a user in your account.
From the "Settings" page, enable "Public Profiles" by toggling this feature on
Steps to report an issue via public profiles
When an issue is identified with one of your assets, simply open your phone’s camera and scan the QR code. A link will appear, allowing you to quickly access and report the problem with ease.
Click on the provided weblink to access the asset's public profile (see below). From here, you can easily report an issue by entering the details into the designated box and clicking "Submit."
Upon performing this action, the page will show you that you have submitted the issue
Steps to report a problem for new users
If you are a new user, please enter your name and email address to log in and submit your request. The process is outlined below.
Once submitted, the issue will be recorded against the asset in itemit and added to the issues section. Additionally, your account administrators will receive an email notification to ensure prompt attention to the matter.
